Welcome to my ARCB profile!
My name is Petra and I was born and raised in The Netherlands, but have spent the vast majority of my working life in New York City in the performing and healing arts.
I have had a private bodywork practice for over 25 years, offering reflexology, my foundational practice (incl. nerve- and maternity reflexology), as well as therapeutic yoga (incl. female pelvic yoga, awareness, meditation, breath coaching, chakra-informed somatic work, incl. bioenergetics), empowerment of the feminine (in both men and women) and flower-, gem-, environmental essences work.
Via ARCB I am a nationally certified reflexologist.
My reflexology and reflexology-related training adds up to well over 1000 hours.
I am nationally certified as a yoga teacher through Jeffrey Migdow (M.D.) and Yoga Alliance (YA-500), a certified healer through chakra expert Anodea Judith's (Ph.D.) Sacred Centers and have studied Flower Essences with the late Steve Johnson (Alaskan Essences) and with Jane Bell (Hawaiian Essences).
My continuing studies are ongoing (as ARCB requires :-).
As a reflexologist I have studied and gratefully been influenced by many inspiring international teachers, like Dorthe Krogsgaard & Peter Lund Frandsen (Touchpoint, Denmark), Anthony Porter (UK), Father Josef Eugster (Taiwan) and with/ by many more amazing teachers in my various studies.
Most of all my work is informed by my lifelong practice of dance and choreography as a professional dancer, now with a career of 30 years and counting...
