Blue Lotus Reflexology

Christal Whelan’s interest in reflexology developed from her profession as an anthropologist specializing in Asian cultures, and represents a distillation of her multi-cultural experiences.

After a decade in Japan, teaching and conducting research, Christal steeped herself in life in Mongolia with sojourns in China and Tibet. To further expand her knowledge of the art of reflexology beyond the American standard in which she originally trained, Christal studied Thai Foot Reflexology at the Wat Po Traditional Medical School in Bangkok, Thailand.

To ground herself more fully in the physical care of others, Christal later undertook practical training as a nurse aide where she gained experience in a broad range of healthcare needs. She also worked as a medical interpreter at Johns Hopkins Hospital and it’s affiliates.
